Teen Gothic

Yes indeed. You are an individual.

But just for fun I thought it would be fun to see what goth stereotypes that are true for you, as an individual.

…Besides listening to goth music, of course.

Maybe you wear black, exclusively.

Or maybe you have a more interesting stereotype?

Heya im 17F and I have an invisible disability being an ostomy I wanted to know if anyone else here has an invisible disability!!!

Hive mind is required here! Please, post some recent quality goth releases that went down largely unnoticed. Often the buzz is circling around the same bands. But quite often a lot of great new stuff remains just obscure.

My first take is: DATE AT MIDNIGHT's recent album release.

I've been trying to get into Urban Heat lately because everyone seems to be crazy about them and they tell me they're great live, but I just hear plain pop-punk/pop-rock. Some tracks remind me of 2010s Editors, but I still wouldn't call them goth. So where's the goth vibe that everyone seems to love about them? Any particular songs you'd recommend?

Recently I've had a group of girls that anytime they see me they yell at me "bark for me b***h" of course they are blonde plain looking girls and I'd fit into a mix of romantic goth / grunge punk look. But I'm not understanding what me being goth has to do with barking? It's annoying and I'm worn out from the constant public harassment, I barely leave my house now. But it especially doesn't help idk what they are suggesting. Any ideas?

If yes, are there any goth or postpunk events or bars in Split or nearby there?

About 2 years ago I came across a goth rock compilation on youtube with mainly second wave goth music on it. The video title was pretty generic, something like Gothic Rock Compilation or something but I can't find it anymore. I had it downloaded on my old phone that got stolen a few months ago, either way, can't seem to find the compilation anywhere.

Here's an incomplete tracklist in semi-correct order:

This Paradise – London After Midnight
Vampyre's Cry – Nosferatu
Dreamland – The Merry Thoughts
Harlot – The Wake
Forevermore – Rosetta Stone
(I'm guessing a Children On Stun song?)
—(song removed due to copyright
(Song with spanish lyrics)
Crucifixion – Spiritual Bats
Ligea – Witching Hour
Low Violet – The Merry Thoughts
The Passenger cover – Siouxsie and the Banshees
and the last song was To Wish Impossible Things – The Cure

There were definitely a few more songs inbetween, especially in the second half of the comp but I can't remember those. If anyone knows what I'm talking about or has the playlist downloaded, please let me know!
